I'm here I'm here....I haven't disappeared because all married people do (as some of you have accused me
) but rather because I've been working insane hours and I simply can't get to blogging after working 12 hour days. I'm not complaining about work, I'm rather enjoying it but it's taking a toll on me. Just in time...I'll be (FINALLY) leaving for my honeymoon in a couple of days and not soon enough. Lots of loose ends to tie up.
However I just had to say. It's rather nice to be married. It's been really really nice. It's nice to come home to someone to have dinner with and talk nonsense with and having a doting husband. And nothing really prepares you for living together; we've had our quarrels but it's still pretty cool. Everyone says "marriage changes everything" so I suppose I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. However so far, so good, a month in a couple of days and we haven't killed each other and aren't even close.
It's been a busy Fall so far. (And did you guys notice Fall FINALLY arrived in NYC...hello it's nearly Thanxgiving and it gets here now but it's absolutely lovely outside now)
Halloween was fun as always. We went out to a bigass Ball out on Lon-guy-lund with a bunch of friends and it was a awesome. Some of the costumes were to die for. There was a Washing Machine & an entire emergency room doctor's team with a woman giving birth!! It was nuts.
I took Dylan Pumpkin picking as every year and it was one of the best dates I've had in a long time.
We had our first Karva Chauth which I thought was rather lame considering we are Maharashtrians and we don't celebrate it but it was so nice that everyone made such an effort to host the event and make all this wonderful food and dote on us.
Our first Diwali together was absolutely amazing. H's mom went completely over the top and made every single one of our favorite dishes to celebrate which was just absolutely fantastic. We went to a few Diwali parties as well.
Heck even Fattie is doing well
and H and he seem to be getting alone alright...for now!!
We are leaving for India in a few days and traveling thru India for 3 weeks. A few days with my family, then a few days with his in Indore and then we are off on our honeymoon to Rajasthan. We'll be starting with Agra and seeing the Taj Mahal for the first time and I'm super excited. Then off to Jaipur, Udiapur, Jodhpur & Jaisalmer.
See you in a few weeks.
